In the process of qualifying as an ICER accredited member for WEEE Refurbishment and recycling (We do have the option to purchase the license, but feel it is more important to be awarded the accreditation). ICER - Industry council for Equipment Recycling
Collection and removal
ARC will provide all the necessary personnel, equipment and vehicles to safely remove, load and transport your redundant equipment. Equipment collections from your site will be audited and confirmed to you before any refurbishing / recycling commences.
Assessment
Equipment will be assessed into two categories:
- Suitable to Reuse: ARC will maximise use of resaleable equipment. Resaleable equipment will be taken into company stock for resale. An agreed percentage of the resale value will be returned to you.
- Suitable to recycle: Equipment classified as waste or unusable will be treated and recycled in accordance with legislation and ICER codes
Data Destruction
With the tightening of the law, concerning the Data protection Act, more and more information is protected.All of our security procedures and data removal techniques are subject to audit.
Basic data removal: De-partitioning of any hard drive, followed by overwriting, reformatting and a scan.
Enhanced data removal: Involves a specialised overwriting procedure (which is required for highly sensitive data).This service is available on request.
Liability
ARC will assume the liability for any data removal and all environmental disposal issues for all of your equipment, once it is removed from your premises.
