WEEE Directive

New environmental legislation is now a part of everyday life for consumers and businesses in the UK. With so many new laws to get your head around you need a company that keeps abreast of the legal changes.

The Absolute recycling Company will work continuously to monitor legal changes and ensure that all our services not only meet the latest legal challenges but exceed them.

If you own a business you will be affected by the WEEE directive and will be aware that you have a duty of care over IT and electrical equipment in your business. It is your duty under the law to ensure that all your redundant IT and electrical equipment is collected and dealt with by a registered waste carrier such as ours.

Full documentation including waste transfer notes and detailed audits will be provided within the cost for collection.

To find out how the law affects the way your business deals with its electronic and electrical waste contact a member of our team for more information at enquiries@arcrecycling.co.uk

Regulations for Retailers and Distributors

Under the WEEE Directive, if you sell EEE via the internet, postal or any retail outlet to customers (End users) in the UK, you are classed as a retailer or "distributor" of Electronic or Electrical Equipment (EEE). We will provide all the relevant documentation for the correct disposal of EEE including the paper trail, which is required by the WEEE directive. We have all the applicable licences required to collect, store and recycle Electronic or Electrical Equipment (EEE) which we are able to do at our expanding site.

A copy of the WEEE directive can be downloaded here
